"Hole In My Throat" is putting into words the physical feeling you get right before you explode with tears. They could be tears of joy, tears of anger, tears for any reason at all.

The song explores all those areas. I wrote the song during a very unstable time in my life. The song describes an uncertainty about what my life is going to be like when those I love the most leave it.

In moments of our lives we feel stable and think everything is under control, but when sudden life changing events happen you feel foolish for ever thinking you had anything under control at all.
