Hole In My Throat

from by The Wilson Thrills

"Hole In My Throat" is putting into words the physical feeling you get right before you explode with tears. They could be tears of joy, tears of anger, tears for any reason at all.

The song explores all those areas. I wrote the song during a very unstable time in my life. The song describes an uncertainty about what my life is going to be like when those I love the most leave it.

In moments of our lives we feel stable and think everything is under control, but when sudden life changing events happen you feel foolish for ever thinking you had anything under control at all.

I've been digging a hole in my throat
For a couple of weeks at a time
Dug a hole in my head so deep
I think I lost my mind!

Maybe I'm digging for something
That doesn't really quite exists
Something like love, something like hope
Something I wish to...

Stop. And breathe in love
I wish I could feel your heart
As it bleeds it all!

So run, somehow
Maybe God can save her now
When she leaves this world
I'll forget everything I've known
Because it took me three years to finally see
I ain't 'the man' I thought I'd be
Even with you here I've been alone

5-piece rock band from Birmingham, AL. Their style of music is heavily based in punk rock, but due to a college education in music, it’s not surprising for songs to get a little complicated while staying under the 3 miin mark.
