about

Musically "Pulse" is the most challenging of The Wilson Thrills songs. The drum intro is supposed to reflect a palpitating heart beat. The guitar parts are heavily influenced by a Birmingham band called "Wildcat Revival" I always liked their guitar parts and wanted to write one that resembled theirs.

The song deals with a person watching someone close to them leave because of other things they want and opportunities that have come their way.

It is a bitter sweet goodbye to someone who is known for being weak and unable to make it on their own. Just to return to those they left behind.

-Joey

lyrics

It's so easy if you want it
It's so easy if you got it

There's only one thing left to say

Go! And leave me out here on my own
Just to return in the nick of time
Just like I knew that you would

And my pulse, was gone for a moment or two
Just to return in the nick of time
Just like I knew that you would

And these days seem strange
These days rearranged
These days seem strange, these days

There's only one thing left to say

Go! And leave me out here on my own
Just to return in the nick of time
Just like I knew that you would

And my pulse, was gone for a moment or two
Just to return in the nick of time
Just like I knew that you would

about

The Wilson Thrills Birmingham, Alabama

5-piece rock band from Birmingham, AL. Their style of music is heavily based in punk rock, but due to a college education in music, it’s not surprising for songs to get a little complicated while staying under the 3 miin mark.
